Flower Photographs:
Shapes and colors have always intrigued me in a way that did not really relate to the real world. I began my career in photography as a 15 year old with a Canon AE-1. The camera I still have, although it no longer functions. As I have traveled through life, my perspective has changed dramatically from that teenager with her first camera. I see the patterns in nature repeated again and again.
Gardening is another passion of mine, and most of these flowers were planted, grown and nurtured in my own garden.
By creating something slightly different than reality, I invite the viewer into something more personal, more intimate. These photographs leave the literal world behind, and allow the more romantic and sensual world to reign.
Several of these flower images are part of an ongoing series titled "Sensual Flowers" where the shapes of the human body are echoed within the flora.
Scenics:
Cape Cod offers some of the most breathtakingly beautiful scenes on earth. I am thankful to call this archipelago home. I am also happy to share my life with some amazing animals that keep me laughing. They are very cooperative models. Please enjoy my visions of serenity and humor.
